1. Introduction

Laundry Master (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains our procedures for handling copyright infringement claims and takedown requests in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws.

This policy applies to:

2. Our Copyright Policy

  • The content is not subject to any copyright restrictions

2.3 Our Response to Infringement

We will:

  • Respond promptly to valid copyright infringement claims
  • Remove or disable access to infringing content when properly notified
  • Terminate repeat infringers’ accounts
  • Comply with applicable copyright laws, including DMCA

We will not:

  • Knowingly host infringing content
  • Ignore valid copyright infringement claims
  • Restore removed content without proper authorization

3. DMCA Takedown Procedure

3.1 Filing a Copyright Infringement Claim

If you believe that content on Laundry Master infringes your copyright, you may file a DMCA takedown request.

To file a valid DMCA takedown request, you must provide:

1. Identification of the Copyrighted Work:

  • Description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Registration number (if applicable)
  • URL or location of the original work (if available)

2. Identification of Infringing Content:

  • Specific description of the infringing content
  • Location of the infringing content (user account, clothing item, etc.)
  • Screenshots or other evidence of the infringement

3. Contact Information:

  • Your full name
  • Your mailing address
  • Your telephone number
  • Your email address

4. Good Faith Statement:

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

5. Accuracy Statement:

  • A statement that the information in your notification is accurate
  • A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

3.3 Processing Takedown Requests

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown request:

We will:

  1. Review the Request: Verify that the request contains all required information
  2. Investigate: Review the allegedly infringing content
  3. Remove Content: If valid, remove or disable access to the infringing content
  4. Notify User: Notify the user who uploaded the content (if applicable)
  5. Respond to Claimant: Acknowledge receipt and inform of actions taken

Response Time:

  • We aim to respond to valid DMCA takedown requests within 48 hours
  • Content removal typically occurs within 7 business days of receiving a valid request
  • Complex cases may require additional time for investigation

Invalid Requests:

  • Requests missing required information will be rejected
  • We may request additional information before processing
  • Frivolous or fraudulent requests may be ignored

4. Counter-Notification Procedure

4.1 If Your Content Was Removed

If your content was removed due to a DMCA takedown request, you may file a counter-notification if you believe the removal was a mistake.

You may file a counter-notification if:

  • You believe the content was removed by mistake
  • You have a good faith belief that the content does not infringe copyright
  • You have authorization to use the content
  • The content is protected by fair use or other legal exceptions

4.2 Counter-Notification Requirements

To file a valid counter-notification, you must provide:

1. Identification of Removed Content:

  • Location where the content appeared before removal
  • Date of removal (if known)

4.4 Processing Counter-Notifications

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification:

We will:

  1. Review the Counter-Notification: Verify that it contains all required information
  2. Notify the Original Claimant: Forward the counter-notification to the person who filed the original takedown request
  3. Wait Period: Wait 10-14 business days for the original claimant to file a lawsuit
  4. Restore Content: If no lawsuit is filed, we may restore the content

Important Notes:

  • Filing a false counter-notification may result in legal liability
  • We may require additional verification before restoring content
  • We reserve the right to refuse to restore content if we believe it infringes copyright

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

5.1 Definition of Repeat Infringer

A “repeat infringer” is a user who:

  • Has received multiple valid DMCA takedown requests
  • Has had content removed for copyright infringement on multiple occasions
  • Has been notified of copyright infringement but continues to upload infringing content

5.2 Actions Against Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right to:

  • Terminate Accounts: Permanently terminate accounts of repeat infringers
  • Block Access: Block access to the App for repeat infringers
  • Report to Authorities: Report repeat infringers to appropriate legal authorities
  • Take Legal Action: Pursue legal action against repeat infringers

Termination Process:

  • First violation: Warning and content removal
  • Second violation: Account suspension
  • Third violation: Permanent account termination

We may terminate accounts immediately if we determine, in our sole discretion, that the user is a repeat infringer or has engaged in egregious copyright infringement.


6. False or Fraudulent Claims

6.1 Penalties for False Claims

Filing a false or fraudulent DMCA takedown request may result in:

  • Legal liability for damages
  • Perjury charges (in jurisdictions where applicable)
  • Reimbursement of costs and attorney fees
  • Permanent ban from filing future claims

We reserve the right to:

  • Reject false or fraudulent claims
  • Report false claims to appropriate authorities
  • Pursue legal action against false claimants

6.2 Good Faith Requirement

All DMCA takedown requests must be made in good faith.

You must:

  • Have a genuine belief that the content infringes your copyright
  • Provide accurate information
  • Not use DMCA takedown requests to harass or silence others
  • Not file claims for content you know does not infringe copyright

Filing a false claim is a serious matter and may result in legal consequences.


7. Fair Use and Other Exceptions

7.1 Fair Use

Some uses of copyrighted material may be protected by fair use or other legal exceptions.

Fair use factors include:
